Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Budapest's Aircraft Park is a great place to visit for all civil aviation enthusiasts. The park, located next to Ferihegy 2 International Airport (approximately 23km from downtown Budapest) introduces the history of Hungarian civil aviation. The exhibit includes an array of old aircraft once used by Malév Hungarian Airlines and its predecessor, Maszovlet, such as the Tupolev 134 and the Tupolev 154. Visitors are even permitted to enter the aircraft and explore the cockpit.

There are presently seven airplanes on display, and one rescue helicopter. The newest addition to the collection is the TU-154, when Malév retired the old Soviet aircraft in 2000.

The park is open year-round and the price for students, children and pensioners is 350 Forints (0.90 GBP). For adults the price is 600 Forints (1.54 GBP). The aircraft park is fairly popular among students and other visitors. On average, the outdoor museum receives close to 40,000 visitors each year.
