What Is The Sport Organisation Of Field Hockey In Britain?

    England Hockey is the national sports organisation body for the sport of hockey in England. It is allied to the European Hockey Federation and International Hockey Federation. Until 2002, the English Hockey Association was the organisation that was active. However, due to financial problems it was replaced by England Hockey on January1st, 2003.

    The international hockey is controlled by a separate organisation known as World Class Hockey Limited, which is funded completely by Sport England. The second level of hockey management in England comprises of six Regional Associations – East, Midlands, North, South, West and the Combined Services, and below that there are county associations.

    The main regional hockey organisations are North Hockey Association, Southern Counties Hockey Association, Eastern Counties Hockey Association and Western Counties Hockey Association.
