When Do Bulbs Spring Up, And When Is The Best Time To Plant Them?

I planted bulbs in the Summer and they haven't sprung up yet.

For most of the bulbs the best time to plant them is between September and December. That is because the early winters are the best time to plant bulbs as cold weather triggers their biochemical process so that they can develop into flowers later. Since you have planted them in summer, they must have probably died inside the earth.

Summer is not a good time for bulb planting.  As Aicha said, fall is best, and sometimes very early spring, since the cold weather is important for their preparation to bloom.

Here are a couple of websites that can offer some additional information, since I am unsure where you live and the timing/temperature of your seasons.  Good luck!
