We have Hannibal where Mark Twain lived, in Independence we have Harry truman's presidential library and house, as well as the starting point for the 3 wagon trails to the west. Jesse James hose is in Kearney. Lots of wild west and frontier history here. There are many Civil War battle sites all over the state. The Plaza in Kansas City and many fountains in KC too.
