Answer Question

Skin consists of Keratins. They are a family unit of structural protein which is fibrous in nature. They are the very tough and unsolvable. These keratins form the peptide bonds that are adjacent to the protein chains. This helps in facilitating the close alignment of amino-acids cysteine contained by the sulphur. These are mandatory for the disulphide bridges that bestow additional strength and firmness by permanent, thermally constant cross-linking.

Keratins are very important constituents of major body parts including skin, hair etc. for hair, they take a weight age of 14 per cent. The extensive disulphide bonds together contribute to the insolubility of keratins. It is exceptional if you reduce or disassociate certain agents such as urea
