I went to work at Walt Disney World in 1971 just after they opened in Florida. Back then, all new employees were required to watch a short film of Walt speaking.
The one thing I remember most was his reason for opening the parks. He said he had this dream/ambition to create a fantasy land where the average family could come and have a fun time together and be able to forget about all the cares of the world, if even for just one day.
