Norris Green is located in Liverpool in England. It is a huge housing estate as well as a council ward and is made up of close to 1,500 dwellings. Locally, it is referred to as 'Noggsy'. It came up in the early 1920s after Lord Derby donated some land to the city. He did this so as to ensure that no public houses were built on the Queens Drive to the South West within that estate. Thoroughfares such as Dwerryhouse Lane to the East Muirhead Avenue to the South and the East Lancashire Road to the North define the entire area. There are some houses that are built on the routes and others that are built on the periphery but they vary in construction (in terms of material.) Today, the authorities are trying to make the residential areas safer for their citizens.
