How Was The First President Elected?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There was a vote just in Congress because they were already all elected. There were a LOT of candidates for the presidency then and the members of Congress would each make one vote. The one with the most votes won (duh.) and the one with the second highest number became the VP.
