There is no fixed size for a talking book file. A talking book file is an audio-visual medium of communication that is used for the purpose of teaching people who are either visually-impaired or have learning disabilities.

The file size of a basic talking book is quite large because talking books are a combination of pictures, graphics, speech and sound effects, image manipulating software and a program which has specifically been written for the purpose of authoring multimedia.

The pictures in talking books are scanned from books, taken on a digital camera or sourced from clipart and graphics from the computer. People also add symbols to their talking books, record and add speeches and add graphics to the page of their talking book files. Talking books make learning an interesting experience for the visually-challenged individuals.
