We are advocates of rawfeeding. ( raw meat, bones, organs ). Dogs are carnivores - designed to eat meat. We have been very pleased with the results of raw feeding for several years now. There are several Yahoo groups dedicated to rawfeeding. Check them out for plenty of good information. If you just can;t stand to feed raw meat, the next best thing is a home cooked diet. Mostly meat of course. No cooked bones though. Raw bones are a critical part of rawfeeding. ALL of our dogs have spotlessly clean teeth, because of the bones. Even UNCOOKED chicken bones are safe. There are many benefits to rawfeeding, including less poop, less poop smell, no doggy odor, no bad breath, mental satisfaction for your dog from eating the way they were designed to eat, and of course a much healthier dog.
