In 2006, researchers at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health found that small quantities of dark chocolate consumed regularly can improve the health of a patient's heart.
Apparently a chemical in cocoa beans has a similar biochemical effect to aspirin and can reduce the likelihood of blood clotting. This works by decreasing the tendency of platelets to clot in narrow blood vessels, thus reducing the likelihood of a heart attack.
In an earlier study in Italy, researchers found that feeding 100 grams of dark chocolate daily to hypertensive patients improved their systolic and diastolic blood pressures and lowered their LDL cholesterol levels whereas the control group of patients who were fed white chocolate showed no improvement.
Chocolate also naturally contains flavonoids, a class of antioxidant, with darker chocolate containing more flavonoids than lighter chocolate. Milk chocolate is not beneficial to heart health as adding milk inhibits the absorption of flavonoids.

Dark chocolate is good yet it can be bad for you.
It is full of certain nutrients that your body needs but is also full of harmful sugars. It is good to eat but eat it sparingly.
