What Is Another Name For A Pinhole Camera?

Answer Question

I would say it's a "camera obscura", which works in a similar way with light coming through a small aperture into a dark box. The difference being that in a camera obscura the image is usually drawn or painted by someone in the box (it's a much bigger box!) in a sort of painting-by-numbers way. Some of the Old Masters are said to have used such a device.
