You must be VERY careful when working on trying to remove an adhesive from a LCD or Plasma television. Depending on what the manufacturer used as the outermost layer on the screen, you may be trying to remove something that CANNOT be removed (like superglue from a plastic surface, it will most likely never come off), and if that is the case, you can cause far worse damage to the screen by trying to remove it than it would represent if simply left alone.

You should contact the manufacturer and ask them how to deal with this issue, so that you will not void your warranty (if you still have one) and to minimize any repairs that will have to be done to the unit.
