Fiesta is a noun used in reference to a festival or a religious holiday, in particular a saint's day generally celebrated in most of the Spanish-speaking countries. The term has been extended to cover an elaborate party (frequently an outdoor party). Synonyms for a fiesta in this case include the terms fete, feast.

It is even popularly celebrated in the Latin American countries who take out processions and dances.

The word is Spanish in origin; coming from the Latin term festa. The word fiesta is also used in reference to the Ford Fiesta, a car that is produced by Ford; Fiesta (dinnerware), also called "Fiestaware"; an apple cultivar; or Fiesta Mart, which is a Texas supermarket chain; or Fiesta, which is a British soft-core adult magazine.
