What is the difference and definition of stable and unstable isotopes?

    Stable isotope is a form of an atom.
    They do not degrade into another atom spontaneously through radiation. Whereas, unstable isotopes will degrade through radiations.
    Composition of nucleus tells us the stability of an atom.
