The first consideration is whether or not the marker is permanent or not. It will say so on the side of the pen. I mention this because permanent ink most likely will not come completely out. The treatment is the same for any type of ink...spray the stained area with hairspray ... Do not rub! Rinse with cool water, dab with a clean cloth. Repeat. At this point, you can use a few drops of Ivory or Dawn liquid and gently massage into the spot. Rinse again. Good Luck.
