    Riyadh is the capital of Saudi Arabia, is situated in Ar Riyad Province in the Najd area. Derived from the Arabic word "rawdah" which means a 'place of gardens and trees'?

    In 1902 , Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud   established the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932, with Riyadh  as the capital.From around a population of a mere 7,500, the city today it is home for over 4.5 million inhabitants.

    Over the years Riyadh has developed into a vibrant metropolis. It all began during the oil boom in the 1950's when older structures were broken down to make way for commercial development. Today, it has become on of the fastest growing and most affluent cities in the world. The city is known to be the center of power and the commercial hub of Saudi Arabia.
