What Is The Perimeter Of A Square With A Side Length Of 2m 40cm?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

That is fairly easy, as perimeter is the measure of length around a figure.  So a square has four equal sides, that are equal in length.  So 4 x 2 meter is 8 meter and 4 x 40 cm is 160 cm.  100 cm = 1 m, so the perimeter is 8 + 1 = 9 meters and 160-100 = 60 cm.

That's 9 m 60 cm.  The trick is to be able to convert the centimeters into meters.  That is probably what your teacher is asking you this question for.  You can remember this easy by remembering:

" KIng Henry Died Many Death Consuming Milk."

Kilometers Hectameters Dekameters Meters Decimeters Centimeters Milimeters.

    So 100 Centimeters = 1 meters.

Well first you do 40 times 2 and then do 2 times 2.The answers are 80 and 4.Finally the last step is that you then add 80 and 4 so your answer is 84 of course.
