Do I Need A Letter From My Employer Saying I'm Not Employed Anymore?

I've already applied for unemployment do i need a letter from my employer stating I'm no longer working for them

No.  You simply file for unemployment and then all of your past employers will receive a notice that you filed. They will be able to respond regarding the reasons you separated from them.
You can always ask your employer for a letter of reference that might be helpful to give to potential employers.
