Plagiarism is offensive because it is equivalent to stealing, only when a person plagiarizes they are stealing not possessions that can be replaced but ideas and feelings and thoughts, things that are wholly unique and could never be replaced, which a person should never have taken away from them. It is also very disrespectful to the author of the work to take their words and ideas and pretend that they are uniquely yours, thats not giving them the credit they deserve for their hard work and their own unique thought processes.
