    Transistor is a semiconductor device which is used for amplifying the electronic signals. It is made up of semiconductor material with three terminals that are used to connect the device with the external circuit. For the amplification of the electrical signals, the controlled output appears to be higher than the controlled input. Transistors are used in various electronic equipments nowadays. It is the basic building block of the electronic devices and it is also commonly used in televisions, radios and telephones.
