What Is The Climate Like In Tunisia?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The climate in Tunisia is dictated by two main factors; the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea.

The Sahara brings with it baking arrid winds which cause dry desert conditions in the summer months. In cooler winter months the Mediterranean provides some rainfall which bring temperatures down to a milder level. The South of Tunisia is considerably hotter than the coastal areas, existing mainly of desert.

The temperatures you may experience during a summer holiday in Tunisia will be between 25-30C. The milder winters bring the heat right down to between 10-16C with an increase in days of rainfall.

A holiday in Tunisia will certainly guarantee good  weather and pleasant temperatures, although you should ensure your accommodation provides Air Conditioning or you might not be able to bear it!
