Tate Britain is a gallery where one can get to see British art in its various facets. It is located in London, and is one of four Tate galleries located in the UK. The address is as below:
    Tate Britain
    Millbank
    London SW1P 4RG
    E-mail: visiting.britain@tate.org.uk
    Telephone: 020 7887 8888 - Menu number 4 (international +44 20 7887 8888)

The rest of the three Tate galleries are Tate Modern which is in London, Tate Liverpool, and Tate St Ives.  All four Tate galleries display art objects from the Tate Collection. These are officially called 'The Tate' now and they have a grant directly from the British Treasury.

Tate Britain houses the impressive Tate Collection of British art work and it throws sufficient light on history of British art. There are art works from around 1500s till modern times. Some of the prominent art displays housed in the gallery include those from Pre-Raphaelite times and also works of present day artists, such as Lucian Freud. Entry to Tate Britain is free all year round. The displays change frequently and hence one can visit it multiple times and still find new exhibits.
