    Food is a source of energy for the effective functioning of body. Food provides necessary fuels which human body burns over the course of physical or day to day activities. Food has important nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, phosphorus, calcium, potassium etc which enables our body to grow and become healthy. Some nutrients in the food such as protein and potassium help the body to fight against diseases. The foods such as rice, wheat, sugar etc are recommended by the doctors to gain weight. However care should be taken to consume proper diet and good food to ensure healthy life.

      Food is the fuel for the body just as gas is for your car and without food the body can not survive....it is a source of energy.....
