How Big Is A King Size Bed?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The size of the King size bed vary from country to country. In USA the size of the King size bed is 76 in by 80 in. In UK it is 72 in by 78 in. In Australia it is 72 in by 80 in and in Europe the size is 71 in by 79 in.

Contemporary manufacturing conventions have resulted in a restricted amount of standard sizes of commercial bedding for mattresses. Hence King size beds vary in sizes in various countries.

The sizes of beds in the UK, apart from Double, differ as compared to bed sizes in US, being usually smaller. The US Queen is the same size as UK King and Super King. The European or continental basic sizes are almost the same to that of UK but have total set extent of two meters.
