I have been with this guy for 3 years we have a son together his family hates me, and he just joined the military. I find that the longer we are together the more I wonder when he is going to ask me to marry him, what do I do?

You may need to be the one to do the asking. It sounds like he wants to be with you and please his family. Try some hints, like where would be a nice place for a honeymoon or would you like a big wedding or a small wedding? It sounds like he does love you, but afraid of the final commitment.
