First, your choice of clothing is important. You must wear natural fibres or you will be extremely uncomfortable. Choose loose baggy clothes and think more about comfort than fashion,
Maintaining your fluid balance is important.

Have bottled water with you when you walk about but beware. Always check the seal on the bottle is intact.. There is even a way of removing the seal and replacing it so buy the water from a reliable source like a hotel.
A hat is a good idea if you are venturing out in the sun. Try not to be exposed to the sun between 11am and 3pm when the effects of the suns rays are at their most harmful.

If you are their for a relatively short period consider taking Cyproxin, a broad spectrum antibiotic, instead of Larium or some of the other antimalarial tablets that have nasty side effects. I learned this froma professor of medicine at the Univeristy of Bombay.

Don't wear any clothes. Drink lots of water. Don't go out in the sun and stay in the shade.
