Kittens are weaned at 6-8 weeks of age. Before weaning kittens should be fed their mother's milk or kitten milk replacer. Kitten milk replacer is found at pet stores or veterinary clinic. A canned kitten food gruel can be introduced at 4 weeks of age. Introduce dry kitten food at 6 weeks of age.
Adult cats should not be fed milk. Hydration needs are met with fresh water--make sure fresh water is available at all times.
