    My car was reo'd today in Oregon, and i was wondering if i have to pay the full balanced owed or just the amount that I'm behind?

    Call your lien holder (bank, finance co.). More than likely they will work with you, however they do have the right to refuse. Each state may be different, but in Georgia the finance co. must send you a 10 day letter stating that they will sell it at auction if you don't respond. The letter will state that the balance must be paid in full although they can accept the past due amount if they want to work with you. P.S. You will have to pay the repo and impound fees too.
