I know how to swim at leas the principal behind it.lol. But my body does not handle it like i think it should i seem to sink instead of float.lol

Yes but i can only go in a pool. I will not go in the ocean and i can't go in the lake but i love my pool!!!

Sounds a little like my daughter. She would never learn to ski because of the fish. She was certified for SCUBA, but the first time she went in the ocean and saw fish was the last time she ever went. (In her defense, some of the tarpon were as big as she was at the time.)
I learned how to swim when I was about six. Several family members own cottages on lakes in northern Wisconsin, so it was imperative that we learned how to swim when we were young.

I learned to swim at Girl Scout camp the summer after my 4th grade year. I can't say I'm the greatest swimmer around, but I enjoy it.

I'm not sure you "finish" girl scouts, but I quit scouting when I was in middle school. I went to summer camp 3 years in a row and loved it.
Yes. I pretty much grew up on the lakes in Tennessee. I can go far, but not very fast. I once only had to finish a race to win a point for my intramural college swim team (was forced to join). They told me they would give me the point, if I would just get out of the pool so they could continue the meet! SCUBA is much better. Nobody is expecting me go anywhere fast.

Yes, I know how to swim. I learned when I was around seven or so? It's a lot of fun, though I think it's always been easier to be a sinker.
