Answer Question

Well, It's kinda addictive, & someone on the computer for a long time or playing a game all the time means you don't have a life, which is pretty much the definition of DORKS!

WOW is brilliant, but people who play 24 hours without stopping is bordering sad.

If you can call playing WOW dorky, then I think you can describe other pastimes such as reading dorky too. If the book is fiction, then it does not achieve anything other than the pleasure the reader digests. At least playing WOW has an element of social interaction, which can't be a bad thing. However, as the old saying goes 'everything in moderation' is a sensible way of playing WOW. It is important to experience real life too, and to me it loses it's attraction if I play it too much. I limit myself to 1.5 hours per day if I am not working, and not at all if I have been working. This  means I do not grow tired of playing.

Well, Warcraft is simply an addiction and those who participate in this game are living out their inner deep fantasies. I once roomed with someone who played Warcraft for hours on end (all night long with little sleep) and it dawned on me how rampant this worldwide obsession is. If you ask me, I believed that those who play this game of danger, intrigue, adventure and suspense are trying to escape the realities of the real world which probably bores them anyway. So, here's a chance for them to become the great warrior hero they always dreamed of being. It kind of reminds me of the popular game way back when: "Dungeons & Dragons."

Would agree with above. Its escapism. I play WOW a lot, actually too much really. It gives you the opportunity to forget about paying bills, doing boring house work etc etc and also you get to chat with other people all round the world. It doesn't hurt anyone and is safer than hanging around the streets. If its dorky, I don't care.
