Answer Question

Fraser or Frazer was originally Frissell, de Fresseliere or de Fresel. In Tweedale the name is sometimes pronounced Frsell or Frisale.

Tweedale and Lothian are the 'home' of the name.
The name meant 'a strawberry bearer' and became Fraisser. This probably refered to armourial bearings but still relatedt to the original name.

A supporter of William Wallace, sir Simon Frasee was later known as the Scottish Patriot. He defeated the English three times inone day. Sir Simon Frasee is the first known of that name in documentary sources.
