Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Paella is a very popular dish in Spain. The name paella has a meaning, which implies 'frying pan'. In Spain, they interchangeably use this word to describe both pan and dish. In vegetarian dish, the paella is usually garnished by vegetables, whereas for non-vegetarian dish, it comes with meat or sea-food. The paella is mainly made up of three ingredients ~ rice, saffron and olive oil.

Paella is generally made in paella pot, where first meat or vegetables are added with oil and stir-fried. Then rice is added along with boiling stock. Once the rice is ready, it is put aside from heat, and the excess water is absorbed into it. In this way, it is being kept to cool down for a while and then it becomes ready to serve.
