Dogs sometimes have a tendency to do this. Go to www.doctorsfostor&smith.com, in the "medicne" section they have these dog treats, that taste great for the dogs but make their stools taste terrible so they won't eat them. It really works, my dogs used to have the same problem.

I had a dog years ago that did this. I took her to the vet and they said that she was deficient in a particular vitamin, can't remember which one. She was eating her stools (or other dogs stools given the chance). We gave her the vitamin and it stopped immediately. Maybe you could try a multi-vitamin. Hope this helps!
