Explain Your Answer.
1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating
Span of control depends on the organizational hierarchy of the company. A company can increase the span of control up to any limit but after a specific limit of span of control the efficiency and accountability is decreased. Therefore, in practical life there are no such examples where the span of control is too large. A supervisor must have the number of subordinates which must be under his supervision. The idea of span of control is to increase the accountability and to increase the check on employees therefore, span of control cannot be very large.
