Humans can not get parvovirus from the infected puppies but can spread the parvovirus in healthy dogs. This is possible when humans touch feces of infected dogs and carry infection to the healthy dogs. Parvo is contagious and viral infection in dogs especially in puppies. Parvovirus affects lymphoid tissue, intestine and bone marrow. Parvovirus can cause diarrhea/bloody diarrhea, dehydration and vomiting.
