Why Won't My IPod Connect To My Laptop?

My iPod Nano (3rd generation, 8 GB) has connected to my Dell Inspiron 4000 laptop before. However, now whenever I try to connect it to the only USB port on the laptop, I get a message in the bottom right saying "USB device not recognized". Same thing happens with my camera.

There are so many possible reasons for this .basically you need to restart your laptop and ipod and have a try ...

If it as before, replace the USB line and try again .
