How Do You Get HDTV?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

An HDTV is a type of digital broadcasting system for television that provides a greater resolution than traditional or conventional types. In order to get HDTV a person has to have a projector or television set that is HDTV compatible along with signals that are in HDTV format.

A conventional channel or signal will not have its quality in any way improved by a HDTV set. The signals of HDTV, depending on where you reside, are broadcast in a number of different ways, including: over the air where an antenna array is used to catch the signal and a tuner to receive the same, certain cable companies offer a few channels in the HDTV format,

Satellite based companies that broadcast their channels through an orbiting satellite, through optical discs such as HD DVD and Blu-ray, and finally video game systems such as Playstation 3 and Xbox (certain models only) can output in this format.
