Wouldn't I Feel Out Of Place Perched In The Back Of Limo?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

No, not these days. Sure, plenty of limo hires are for funerals and weddings, but just as many, if not more, are for fun occasions like stag parties, prom nights or some other special night out or occasion.

The irony of the word limousine though is that it evokes images of stiffly uniformed chauffeurs, elegance and opulence. Strange, perhaps, when the word comes from Limousin, a former province of west central France, after which is also named a breed of cattle!

But no cattle truck is a limousine. In fact, a limousine is at the extreme opposite end of the spectrum. By dictionary definition, a limousine is an automobile with closed body and partition behind driver; luxurious automobile.

Whether you hire a black Mercedes or a pink stretch Hummer, it really is up to you. Chances are if you search hard enough there is bound to be a company that has just the type of vehicle you want to ride around in.
