How Old Do Chickens Have To Be Before You Put Them In A Coop?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

You want your chickens to be feathered out well. They don't hold body heat until they feather out. I can't remember exactly what age mine were, but they need to be at least 10 to 12 weeks. Make sure they have roosting poles to jump up on to roost at night.
