TVs were a luxury when they were first invented and very few people had them. In the early 50's my uncle had the only one in the road and everyone thought he was very rich lol. I can remember when my parents first got their tv and all my friends would crowd into the room to watch as they didnt have a tv at home - plus my mum cooked some fantastic buns lol.
