Why Do Parents Yell At You When Your In Trouble?

Parents do that because they care about you and want you to know what is right and wrong. I do it to my kids too, well, I have one left at home, and she hates it too, but it is to get her attention when I am trying to tell or teach her something. My mom did the same thing, and I usually screamed back... By the way I wouldn't advise on screaming back.

I don't know, I think its stupid,  my mom usually yells at me then today she calmly told me that she was disappointed in me and that got to me more than anything she's screamed at me in the past.
