How To Get Rid Of A Tapeworm Inside A Human?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Oral medicines are used to treat the tapeworm infection in humans. Medicines like praziquantel, albendazol and  niclosamid can be used to kill the tapeworms. These medicines can kill only adult tapeworms but not their eggs and larvae. So, treatment should be repeated after one month. If tapeworm infection spreads to tissues out side the intestine then steroids are used to reduce inflammation. Tapeworms can cause cysts in liver, lungs etc. In this case, surgery is recommended.
