    He was an inventor and conducted many experiments, a philosopher, a statesman, printer, and all around awesome guy ;) his greatest contributions, in my opinion, were his negotiations with the french to get them to help the u.s. In the revolutionary war and writing poor richards almanac. His autobiography is a must read ;)en.wikipedia.org
