What Is The Film 'Conspiracy' About?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The film Conspiracy is set in 1942, when Hitler wants to draw an end to what he called euphemistically 'the Jewish problem', he wanted all Jews out of Germany, out of the countries it had taken by force, out of life, out of this world.

It is a terrifyingly simple conceit, the heads of several large German institutions, the military, the ministries etc meet for a conference at Wansee on the 20th January, through the guise of a little food, a little wine, the cold blooded details of the Final Solution are agreed.  Despite frank and sincere rejection, we see each rejection fall by the way side, as each man takes his place alongside the architect of this evil plan, Chief of Security Heydrich.  By the end of the meeting, the fate of six million Jews had been decided.

Brilliantly and chillingly acted, Conspiracy is a powerful drama by HBO films, showed in the UK on the BBC.
