Can My 16 Yr. Old Daughter Confuse Menstrual Cramps With Appendicitis?

Answer Question

No the pain is very different. If it is an appendicitis you will know by her laying down and applying pressure to her stomach on the right side if she then screams in utter agony and the pain does not go away then it is probably an appendicitis. Period cramps are usually lower and all across the stomach.

If neither of you have had appendicitis, then absolutely!

I've actually gone to the hospital thinking I had appendicitis, because it was so severe, and it hurt to apply pressure.
I got a CT scan, and a blood test or two.
Long story short, every month I always think I have appendicitis.
