What Is The Soul?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The soul, according to quite a few religions and theoretical customs, is a self-aware unearthly substance particular to a single living being.

According to these customs the soul is said to have integrated the inner spirit of every living being, and to be the factual basis for sentience. In dissimilarity to spirit which might or might not be everlasting, souls are often thought to be immortal and exist prior to their embodiment in flesh. The notion of the soul has strong associations with the concept of an afterlife, but opinions normally differ extensively, even within a particular religion, as to what shall happen to a soul after the death of the body.

Quite a few people from different religions believe that the soul is immaterial, where as others consider it to have material components.
