Answer Question

A router is a hardware device that is used to join multiple networks together. There are four basic component of router. Input and Output Interface (II, OI), Input Port Processor (IPP), Output Port Processor (OPP), shared bus interconnects Input Port Processor (IPP) and Output Port Processor (OPP) and Control Processor (CP).

Unique Logical Address of network Adapter is called IP (Internet Protocol) Address. IP Address has 32 bit (4 Bytes). IP Address may be public when we use it on WAN or private when we use it on LAN. IP address can be assigned statically by System Administrator or dynamically by the device on the network on demand.

Network routers processes the two IP Addresses; LAN IP and WAN IP. Default IP address of Router is 10.0.0.138 but for adjusting DHCP range we edit configuration files and change the router default IP and give the IP address 192.168.1.1. So in some places, default IP of router is written as 192.168.1.1 but in this case DHCP server is enabled. In other words Default IP Address of Linksys Router is 192.168.1.1. Home network Router Default IP Addresses is 192.168.2.1. We can also specify additional IP address under Advanced Static Routing web page.
