1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Periodic table is an arrangement of elements in a definite order. In a periodic table, all the elements are arranged in ascending order according to the atomic numbers of the elements. Elements are classified into groups and periods in a periodic table. In groups elements are arranged on the basis of electrons in the outer most shell of the atoms of the elements. Period number of the element in a periodic table indicates the number of shells in the atoms of elements. The elements present in the same group have same chemical properties.
