The Connought House is an attractive English country cottage, located in the sheltered gardens within the walking distance of the town of Mount Abu and the famous lake Nakki. This cottage was initially the property of a Maharaja, and was earlier used as summer residence by the Chief Minister of the princely state of Marwar.
Mount Abu is situated close to the Gujrat border and is the only hill station in whole of Rajasthan. Based on a 1200 m high plateau, Mount Abu expands to a total area of twenty two kilometers. For several years, the Maharajas and Princes use to visit this hill resort to get away from the hot and sweating summer. Other than being a well known holiday resort Mount Abu is also famous for the Dilwara group of Jain Temples.
